Day 2

The Killbillies survived some of the most brutal beatings we’ve ever seen from the likes of CWF Mid Atlantic Tag Team Champions Rage & the Machine's Michael McAllister & Mecha Mercenary, Coach Gemini’s “mystery team” of "Assassin" Ray Kandrack & "Dirty" Zane Dawson and the Aftermath’s PWI International Ultra-J Crown Champion Trevor Lee & CWF RGL Champion Chet Sterling to stand tall at the end of the two night tournament as tournament champions. They are now # 1 contenders to the PWI World Tag-Team Championship currently based in Europe and also # 1 contenders to the Mid-Atlantic Tag-Team Championship after beating the champs during the tournament!

Marcellus "Mid Atlantic" King returned to CWF Mid-Atlantic as a surprise entrant in night two’s open invitational battle royal eliminating Roy Wilkins to win and earn himself a Mid-Atlantic Championship opportunity on March 29 at Madness in Any Direction 2014. King will face the winner of THIS Saturday’s championship bout at Thomasville High School where current champ Arik Royal will defend against NWA, WCW and WWE legend The Barbarian!

We saw our first glimpses of an incredibly aggressive Lee Valiant over the weekend, as he mauled rising star Austin Bradley with a crippling piledriver on night one and threatened to attack CWF official Brad Stutts on night two. It was announced by Stutts that Valiant will face Kamakazi Kid one-on-one on March 29 at Madness in Any Direction 2014.

Saturday March 15 will be the 2014 PWI “Night of Champions” at the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium in Gibsonville with a 7:30 PM bell time. In the main event, PWI Heavyweight Champion SHANE “HURRICANE” HELMS returns to Gibsonville to defend the championship in a Battlecade 14 rematch against “THE ONE MAN RIOT” ZANE DAWSON. The last time these two met we saw JEFF HARDY (!) make a shocking appearance in Gibsonville and save his friend. Since then Dawson has invaded Helms’ stomping grounds at OMEGA and continued to call out the champion at every opportunity. It’s Helms versus Dawson II on March 15!

Other bouts already set for March 15 at the PWI Night of Champions include a “Last Chance” Rising Generation League Championship Match pitting CHET STERLING VS. CHRIS “SHO SMOOVE” LEA. The winner will be the RGL Champion and will effectively win their feud while the loser will be locked out of any future RGL Championship matches until the 2014 RGL tournament starts in November. PLUS we have just learned that Mid-Atlantic Tag-Team Champions MECHA MERCENARY & MICHAEL MCALLISTER will defend their belts against the new number contender’s and winners of the 2014 PWI Tag-Team Tournament THE KILLBILLIES.

The Killbillies double up on Rage & the Machine's Michael McAllister after clobbering Mecha Mercenary in the final quarterfinal match in the PWI Tag Team Tournament.

McAllister reels as the onslaught continues.

Mecha distracts the ring official to allow McAllister to knock "Honky Kong" Evan Banks from the ring apron, denying the tag.

"Dirty" Zane Dawson attacks the Killbillies' "South Paw" Aric Andrews, forcing the first semi-final match to begin without giving their opponents a chance to rest.

"Assassin" Ray Kandrack begins to attack the injured ankle of Andrews.

Dawson considers his next series of offensive actions when he is tagged back into the match.

Dawson and Kandrack stand over CWF Official Brad Stutts after their loss to the Killbillies.

Gripping a hand full of Everett's hair, "Head Honcho" Trevor Lee reaches toward his corner for a tag.

Lee follows through after smacking the prone Everett in the chops.

CWF Champion Arik Royal makes the timely save as his partner is not allowed to make a tag.

Challenger Lance Lude clobbers CWF Mid Atlantic Television Champion Chase Dakota in the mouth in title action.

Dakota goes for an advantage, kicking Lude on the canvas.

Dakota tries to force Lude to submit with a backbreaker.

Dakota enjoys himself as he continues to keep the high flying Lude nailed to the canvas.
