The 2016 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament Kicks Off With A Bang At CWF OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS 2016!

The night's action kicked off with singles action with LaBron James' James Ryan facing Patrick Scott in singles action. Ryan finished off the debuting Scott in under three minutes by pinfall.

Madi Maxx made her CWF ring debut taking on the bizarre Sis with her pal Him at ringside. In a successful debut match against the veteran masked woman, Madi won by pinfall and then was attacked by both Sis and Him.

Half of the CWF Mid Atlantic Tag Team Champions, Aaron Biggs, rushed in to make the save and went ahead and went one-on-one against Him in scheduled action. Biggs squashes Him in under two minutes as the recuperating Madi Maxx kept Sis from interfering with the Aaron Biggs win.

Eight man tag team action was out next, with Coach Gemini leading the team of RGL Champion Mace Maeda, Kabuki Ni, Number Man & Number Boy out to take on Cutie & the Beasts' "Innocent" Isaiah Santero & Beau Crockett along with Dirty Daddy & Bobby Ballentine. The Coach left unfulfilled with a pinfall loss, but "Innocent" Isaiah did finally get an answer from Crockett about being a tag team.

First round action of the 2016 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament kicked off with "White" Mike Jordan taking on Joey Rogers. Rogers took control early in the match only to have it slip away via pinfall from a surging "White" Mike.

The winner of the 2007 Johnny Weaver Tournament "Handsome" Mitch Connor was out next to take on Smith Garrett in first round 2016 Weaver Cup action. In a rare display of mat wrestling skills, Smith Garrett got a hard-fought win to advance over the popular former champion.

"The Revolutionary" Darius Lockhart entered next to face off against "Assassin" Ray Kandrack in first-round Weaver Tournament action. The fight ended up on the floor with Kandrack bleeding profously from the scalp and it served to wake him up. He returned his opponent to the ring and followed through to finish him off by pinfall to advance in the tournament.

"Ace" Arik Royal had a moment coming to the ring with former tag championship partner Kandrack leaving and then ripped young Jesse Adler apart in Weaver Cup first round action. Andrew Everett took exception to his former tag partner's actions and faced him in the ring post-match. Royal was neither amused or apologetic.

CWF WorldWide Television Champion Aric Andrews was out next to take on Dirty Daddy in 2016 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament first round action. Andrews dispatched the popular Dirty Daddy by pinfall to advance in the tournament.

CWF's Rising Generation League Champion All Star Mace Maeda was out with the Coach's entire team to take on "Lost Cause" Nick Richards in first round Weaver Cup action. Richards withstood a beating and turned Maeda inside out and dropped him like a rock to the canvas, advancing the Weaver Cup tournament by pinfall.

Prakash Sabar interrupted procedings by having a one-man sit-in in the middle of of the Sportatorium ring. Refusing to leave until he was satisfied, security was called and Snooty Foxx hit the ring to remove the protesting masked Pakistani in proper fashion.

Ethan Alexander Sharpe was introduced next to face Roy Wilkins in first round Weaver Cup action only to be met by Coach Gemini, who thanked Sharpe for sending his man Wilkins on a vacation cruise. The referee called for the bell, counted ten and awarded Sharpe the win and CWF officials demanded that Coach produce Wilkins in two weeks or face the consequences.

CWF's onlY Triple Crown Champion Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride was out next to face CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Trevor Lee in the night's final Weaver first round tournament bout. A friendly battle ensued that kept seeing the heat rising as the bout went on. Both men ended up fighting on the floor, barely beating the referee's count getting back into the ring only to have the time limit expire, eliminating BOTH MEN from the 2016 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament by rule.

Trevor Lee asked for the house mic and told McBride that he wasn't ready to go home yet and offered up McBride a shot at the title. McBride caught his breath and the two began once again. McBride pulled out a rare superplex which stunned Lee, but was unable to capitalize. Trevor Lee forced the thirty-three year ring veteran to do something he was unaccustomed to, as McBride actually tapped out. Lee took the house mic, thanked the fans and McBride for the match, hugging the veteran as they exited the arena.

Madi jerks the wrist of Sis with a twist.

Sis takes the direct approach and tries to choke out Madi Maxx.

Madi won't stay on the canvas and Sis is not happy about it.

One half of the CWF Mid Atlantic Tag Champions, Aaron Biggs, clobbers the bizarre Him in singles action.

Him goes to the knee of the big man.

Him cranks on the head of Biggs on the canvas.

Him catches Biggs with an uppercut.

RGL Champion All Star Mace Maeda runs the ropes after jumping over Dirty Daddy in eight-man tag action.

Coach Gemini gets a few swings in as Kabuki Ni and Number Man await a tag.

Cutie & the Beast's "Innocent' Isaiah Santero and Beau Crockett join forces to add injury to Number Boy.

Mace Maeda cheers on Number Boy as he stomps Dirty Daddy.

Joey Rogers fights off "White" Mike Jordan in first-round 2016 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament action.

Rogers takes Jordan to the canvas for a meeting with pain.

Things became real. Both men eliminated from the Weaver Cup Tournament and Trevor challenges Rob to continue for the Mid Atlantic Title. McBride responds.

Lee has to question his own machismo as he struggles to get his breath in the corner.

McBride follows Lee up the turnbuckles again to attempt another superplex!

McBride connects with the Saturday Night Superstar!

McBride was forced to submit, Trevor Lee immediately asked for the house mic and thanked the legend for one heck of a title match.
