Ladies action kicked off the night's wrestling at CWF VARSITY BLUES with the "Midnight Mermaid" Aspyn Rose entering to take on Kaci Lennox. Rose had the match in hand but with the intimidation and presence of "Death Proof" Aaron Epic at ringside, forced the lovely Lennox to submit.
Six-man Dojo Challenge tag team action was up next pitting members of the AIW Dojo Brian Carson, Evan Adams and "Fantastic" Frankie Flynn against CWF Mid Atlantic Dojo's RGL Champion Cain Justice, Dirty Daddy and "Film Maker" Movie Myk with Big Zoe. The AIW Dojo took the duke after the CWF Dojo team decided to argue among themselves and allow a team member to be pinned.
A.C. Hawkes and Carolos Gabriel took the house mic and laid down an open challenge for a tag team match as a way of introduction. Former tag champion Sandwich Squad's Mecha Mercenary and Aaron Biggs answered the challenge and ate the two newcomers for lunch in under five minutes. Michael McAllister entered the ring and approached former tag partner Mecha Mercenary about tagging again and the masked robot informed his friend that his teammate was Aaron Biggs and they had a championship to win. McAllister looked stunned and former Commissioner William L. Cross entered telling McAllister he would help, just to follow him and they exited the arena.
CWF Worldwide Television Champion almost completed his in-ring interview before being interrupted with the announcement of the fan-drawn challenger for the title. Cam Carter's name was drawn and he hit the ring like a bolt of lightning. Andrews, who does NOT like being contradicted, retaliated with the backing of Lee Valiant, who followed him to the ring, continuing his TV Title winning streak.
Quarterfinals action in the 2017 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament kicked off with Ethan Alexander Sharpe entering the squared circle to battle "Ol' Juke Joint" Lucas Calhoun for a spot in the Weaver Cup Final Four. Sharpe used amazing control and refused to be distracted in becoming a 2017 Final Four competitor by pinfall over Calhoun.
"Death Proof" Aaron Epic and "Midnight Mermaid" Aspyn Rose entered for Quarterfinal Weaver Cup action, taking on Chet Sterling for a spot in the Finals. Epic got physical quickly and had Sterling either stunned and on rubber legs on several ocassions, but Sterling regrouped and took the fight back to Epic, advancing by pinfall.
"The Real-Life Ben Affleck" Alex Daniels was out next to take on red-hot Smith Garrett in 2017 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament Quarterfinals action. It took about a minute to remove his shirts and another twenty seconds to find himself staring at the lights overhead, with Garrett advancing to the Final Four.
The final participant of the 2017 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament's Final Four, PWI International Ultra-J Crown Champion Logan Easton Laroux, then had the curtains opened to the Kernodle Suite, allowing the fans and everyone there see he'd been watching all along. After a comment about the Garrett-Daniels match, Alex Daniels attacked Laroux, drug him into the ring and pinned him for a self-counted three. Officials quickly announced that with the "pinfall win" that Alex Daniels had just earned a shot at the Ultra-J Crown, which was not scheduled to be defended.
The main event CWF Mid Atlantic Tag Title bout pitted the champion Dawson Brothers Dave and Zane against the Vanguard's "Revolutionary" Darius Lockhart and Caprice "Ice" Coleman. A brawl erupted and continued until the official was tossed across the ring and mayhem ensued. A second referee entered as the fight continued and moments later BOTH referees were counting pinfalls and calling for the bell, with each team being pinned! The officials argued and officials responded by ordering they re-start the match. The bell rang a third time and the Dawson Brothers left with the titles when it sounded again about thirty seconds later.
