The elements threatened to be the story of the evening, but Mother Nature held off on the ice and treacherous driving conditions, once again proving she is an avid pro wrestling fan. CWF Mid Atlantic presented A COLD DAY IN HELL, headlined by the return of Destiny v. the Naturals and Converse v. Greene Title V. Title action and the first ever VIP Ticket Event, allowing fans in to meet and greet the stars of CWF Mid Atlantic.

Big Tank Lawson was out for the first bout, a singles bout against the young masked Canadian Assassin. Lawson, who has of late been obsessed with the CWF Mid Atlantic Television Title, dismantled the youngster and then demanded the time to be repeated several times following the bout. His point being that he'd just defeated another wrestler in the center of the ring by submission in under the traditional ten minute television time limit.

CWF Mid Atlantic brought back a fan favorite, the Torneo Cibernetico, with the winner taking home the new Ultra J Crown Championship, a new title recognized by the CWF, CWA & ECWA promotions. Current champion Stoney Hooker with manager Thomas Simpson entered with his team of Marcellus "Mid Atlantic" King, "Hawaiian Assassin" Kimo & "Jersey" Nick Richards to do battle against the Kamakazi Kid, Scott Kull, Mark Van Hook & Maverick in over the top, pinfall and submission elimination action. High-flying youngster Scott Kull was eliminated first following a beautiful flying dropkick into the mouth of the Sheik's "Hawaiian Assassin" Kimo, followed by Kimo and then Nick Richards. The Sheik's Weapons of Mass Destruction Marcellus "Mid Atlantic" King was ruled out of the competition followed by rookie Mark Van Hook and the impressive tall rookie Maverick, leaving only the champion and Kamakazi Kid remaining. Despite attempts to interfere on behalf of his young champion, manager Thomas Simpson was unable to change the history of the new title as he watched the official award it to the new champion, the Kamakazi Kid.

The man that the area used to love, the one formerly called "Rock N Roll" Matty Dee made his way to the ring to announce his new name. Interrupted before he could finish by former partner Mikael Yamaha, both of the former Blade Runnerz watched as Fatback Enterprises' Brad Stutts & Donnie Dollar$ entered the ring. Stutts commented publicly that "Handsome" Mitch Connor wasn't able to be depended upon any longer and that he desperately needed a "new #2" for his company. Inviting Yamaha back into the fold, the conversation turned ugly as Dollar$ & Dee attacked Yamaha, leaving him crumpled in the ring. Announcing that the "new direction" of Fatback Enterprises was now set, Stutts introduced his "new #2" Matthew de Nero.

Ladies action returned to the ring as Da Blonde Mafia's Amber O'Neal returned for singles action against Persephone. O'Neal arrived with partner Brandi in tow, and Persephone took exception to comments being made. The bell rang and the two ladies began to brawl with Brandi roaming the floor area around the ring. O'Neal took every shortcut she could get away with, eventually grabbing the ring official to turn him from seeing her partner on the floor throw a drink into her opponent's face. The referee made the three count and called for the bell, prompting the appearance in the entryway of newcomer Kristin Flake to the lady's scene. The young lady was called into the ring and then attacked by Da Blonde Mafia. Clearing the ring with a steel chair, Persephone made a timely return to bring order back to the ring.

Tag team action was up next as Fatback Enterprises' "Dangerous E" Corey Edsel & Donnie Dollar$ hit the ring along with their manager and new partner Dinero to do battle against fan favorites Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride & Brass Munkey. Boogie & Munkey displayed some sound technical wrestling and use of double-teams but the tide was turned with a thunderous clothsline from the monster Edsel to the back of the head of partner Dollar$, resulting in Edsel getting somewhat angry about the situation. The numbers proved to be overwhelming as Fatback Enterprises stole another victory over fan favorites at the Carolina Sports Arena.

Three time former NWA-TNA tag team champions the Naturals Chase Stevens & Andy Douglas entered as visiting VIPs to do battle with the returning Destiny, "Infamous Icon" Joey Silvia and manager Ty Dillinger. Dillinger shocked the arena when he introduced the latest acquisition of Destiny by introducing the former champion's partner for the evening as none other than "Leelicious" Lee Valiant, the former Neon Lion high flyer. With the fans solidly behind them, Destiny began to hit and run as their "visiting" opponents used a variety of stall tactics before finally getting underway with the match itself. An old-school style bout ensued with both teams feeling each other out and Destiny returning to it's former form by staying on the attack. The Naturals continued to use every opportunity to slow down the action, but had the key part of their plan backfired when Silvia ducked under a handful of powder tossed by Douglas right into the face of Stevens, who promptly hoisted his partner up and dropped him to the canvas, which prompted the appearance of VIPs Gemini & Ortega who were chased off by Commissioner Cross & Valiant with steel chairs, allowing a pinfall win for Destiny.

The main event of A COLD DAY IN HELL followed the introductions of CWF Mid Atlantic Television Champion "Simply" Steve Greene and CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion "the 1st" Ric Converse. The Title V. Title match began with Greene retreating from his former friend Converse. As Greene was able to turn his fortunes around in the ring and make an impact on his opponent's cranium, the tide eventually turned again after several foiled pinfall attempts by the Television Champ. Converse turned the match around with a series of quick pin attempts, tying up Greene on the canvas until he finally got his shoulders down for the referee's three count. The building erupted at the announcement that Converse had indeed won the bout, but soured somewhat when the rule was read that the Television Title doesn't change hands after the traditional ten-minute television time limit had been exceeded by a minute and twenty-three seconds, official time.
