A beautiful breezy outdoor setting protected by the Granville Athletic Park Sports Pavilion welcomed the debut of CWF Mid Atlantic wrestling in Oxford NC. The MID ATLANTIC CHALLENGE brought all of the champions on the roster and included title defenses from both the Mid Atlantic Tag Titles and Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Title.

Six-man action kicked off CWF's MID ATLANTIC CHALLENGE as veterans VIP Jesse "El Fuego" Ortega, Destiny's "High Definition" Steve Greene & VIP "King of Heat" Gemini Kid stepped through the ropes to do battle with young fan-favorites Arik Royale, Chase Dakota & "Memphis" Matt Smith. The match, which became a 25+ minute marathon, displayed the strengths and weaknesses of each of the six competitors as well as the cardio-conditioning of the ring official. Ortega played the part of the "workhorse" for his team, tagging in Gemini & Greene at his convenience and then inserting himself back into the fray quickly. The veterans measured their young opponents, but never got too far ahead of them in the fragile teetering momentum. Ortega finished the brawl he started with a painful Fujiwara Armbar for a submission win for his team.

Fatback Enterprises' Donnie Dollar$ was out next for singles action against former Tag and Television Champion "Box Office Draw" Mikael Yamaha. The "foundation" went to work quickly, breaking a headlock attempt and proceding to pound on his smaller opponent. Yamaha absorbed a lot of punishment but kept coming back again and again to try to turn the tables on one of the most consistent big men in the sport. Even with the backing of the fans Yamaha couldn't fly high enough to ground Dollar$, the irresistable force in pink and black who relentlessly stretched, twisted and battered his decorated opponent until he eventually was able to defeat him by pinfall.

The pink and black was out again in the form of "Jersey" Nick Richards, out to face Rising Generation League Champion Chiva Kid in non-title singles action. "Jersey" Nick started out vertical and tried to wrestle and counter with the young masked Mexican star for the opening moments of the bout. As the pace began to pick up, Chiva connected with a boot to the mouth of the youngest member of Fatback Enterprises, sending him into a world of hurt at the hands, feet and body of the RGL Champion. Richards did attempt to turn the tables one last time, but was unable to muster the offense to defeat the hard-headed goat-mask, which kept impacting with his right hand. Chiva Kid wins by pinfall in under ten minutes.

Former Mid Atlantic Television champ Aftermath's Marcellus "Mid Atlantic" King was out next for non-title action against the man who won the title from him, current champion Lee Valiant. The champion attacked on the ringing of the bell, staying in close to the larger King rather than using a "hit and run" strategy which most smaller competitors tend to use. The self-proclaimed "Mid Atlantic" King then applied himself to the task at hand and put Valiant on the canvas after several moments, allowing him to liberally apply pain and suffering to the champion. Valiant displayed the size of his heart again and again, coming back with surprising moves and pin attempts, finally frustrating King to the point that he rolled out of the ring and didn't answer the ten-count. Valiant's win was bittersweet, but King never re-entered the ring.

Bobby O'Neill's Syndicate, "Untouchable" Evan Banks & Michael "the Fury" McAllister were out next to defend the CWF Mid Atlantic Tag Team Titles against the challenge of fan-favorites Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride & Roy "Rage" Wilkins. Manager O'Neill found himself in the grasp of McBride inside of the squared circle as the official called for the bell, barely escaping disaster. Wilkins found himself relegated to the apron as the champions went to work on the Boogie Woogie Man, who battled back after each double-team, and continued to infict as much punishment as possible until he finally made it to his corner for the tag. Wilkins hit the ring like a house of fire, attacking both members of the Syndicate and tagging McBride back in before chasing McAllister to the concrete floor. The fans at ringside looked on in horror as Banks cleanly pinned Boogie, then began shouting at the ring official that the Syndicate had a pair of brass knuckles and had KO'd the Boogie Woogie Man.

CWF Mid Atlantic returns to action at Burlington NC's Fairchild Recreation Center on Saturday April 25th at 7:30 pm for a huge benefit for ARC of Alamance, the annual BUNKHOUSE STAMPEDE!

Yamaha flies over the top ropes onto the prone Dollar$.

Yamaha finds himself in a bearhug by Donnie Dollar$.

RGL Champion Chiva Kid cranks on the wrist of "Jersey" Nick Richards in singles action.

Richards sounds off while cranking on a hammerlock.

Richards gets a taste of Chiva Kid's ringboot as he connects on a back-kick.

The goat-masked RGL champion drops in on Richards on the canvas.

Chiva Kid pounds on the cranium of Richards in the corner turnbuckles.

CWF Mid Atlantic Television Champion Lee Valiant flies into the face of former champion Marcellus "Mid Atlantic" King in non-title singles action.

King rips the back of Valiant after dropping him onto the canvas.

King drops a leg across the throat of Valiant.

King tries to get the champion to submit with an abdominal stretch.

Valiant drops an elbow onto King from the top ropes.

Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride cranks on the wrist of Mid Atlantic Tag Champion "Untouchable" Evan Banks in tag title action.

The Syndicate's Michael "the Fury" McAllister tries to overpower McBride.

McAllister floors the Boogie Woogie Man with a vicious clothesline.

Roy "Rage" Wilkins drives Banks to the canvas in tag title action.

Wilkins and McAllister continue to battle following the final bell.

Five-time former Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion "the 1st" Ric Converse squares off for his return match against current champion Brass Munkey.

Converse goes to work on the leg of Munkey on the canvas.

Converse continues to try to tie the champion up into knot.

Munkey battles back from the canvas.

Converse tries to ground Munkey for good with the help of the steel ringpost.

Munkey uses an opportunity to roll Converse up for a pinfall attempt.

CWF Mid Atlantic returns to Burlington NC's Fairchild Recreation Center on Saturday, April 25th at 7:30 pm for the CWF BUNKHOUSE STAMPEDE, a benefit for ARC of Alamance!
