Summer arrived a couple of months early as the heat outdoors permeated the atmosphere inside of Burlington NC's Fairchild Recreation Center for the ARC of Alamance benefit, the CWF BUNKHOUSE STAMPEDE! The first of three big title matches kicked off the evening's wrestling following the inspiring performance of the National Anthem by Martin Sears. Former Rising Generation League Champion "Jersey" Nick Richards was out first to challenge the high-flying Chiva Kid for the title. The champion, accompanied by young fan Ben Bolden, hit the ring to the cheers of the fans and the two familiar competitors hooked up once again. Richards attempted to ground the masked champion who refused to stay on the canvas for any length of time en route to a convincing pinfall win to retain the title.

Singles action followed as the Aftermath's Marcellus "Mid Atlantic" King stepped up to face fan-favorite Roy "Rage" Wilkins. Fireworks ensued as the two collided in the center of the ring matching power to technique as both men fought for control of the bout. King bore down on his opponent late, leaning on him and pressing him towards the canvas, eventually wearing him down to a point where he was able to take the bout by pinfall.

The hated VIPs Jesse "El Fuego" Ortega & "King of Heat" Gemini Kid entered next for a tag team duel against CWF Mid Atlantic Television Champion Lee Valiant & Arik Royale. Gemini started for his team, locking horns with the popular Royale before he made the tag to his partner TV Champion Valiant. After sending the ring veteran to the canvas, he tagged in the intense Ortega who turned up the level of violence a couple of more notches. The bout spilled onto the floor and both teams dealt up their fair share of punishment before the battle returned to the ring and the VIPs produced a set of brass knuckles, sealing the deal with a pinfall win with the official none the wiser.

Special Guest Referee Kamakazi Kid was out next to officiate the first-ever sanctioned battle between the Aftermath's Ric Converse and Alex Adonis. Adonis hit the arena spitting fire and attacked the former world champion as the official called for the bell. Converse absorbed a great deal of punishment early on, turning the tables by taking Adonis to task on the canvas as the match went on. After a couple of attempts to win the bout on submission, Converse found himself on the receiving end of the punishment, sliding to the floor to take a breather. Returning to the ring with a steel chair in hand, referee Kamakazi Kid intervened, taking the chair from the five-time former Mid Atlantic champion after being shoved back into the corner. Adonis took advantage of the attention of his opponent being on the official to negotiate an upset pinfall win against the man who originally lured him to the area.

Mid Atlantic Tag Champions Bobby O'Neill's Syndicate ("Untouchable" Evan Banks & Michael "the Fury" McAllister) hit the ring to defend their titles in return action against former champions Xsiris & "Box Office Draw" Mikael Yamaha. Stipulations were agreed upon prior to the contract signing for this bout stating that should the former champions not re-take the titles that they would never be able to work as a tag team again. Surprisingly, Yamaha made his way to the ring area alone, asking for the house mic. Explaining that he had no clue where his partner was at, Yamaha agreed to honor the contract alone on behalf of his team rather than lose by virtue of not competing. The lone challenger went on the attack, battling both Banks & McAllister tooth and nail, but never gaining enough of an advantage to catch his breath. The champions pulled out all stops as the ring official was sent to the canvas, Banks slid out of the ring to the announce table and grabbed one of the tag title straps. Returning to the ring, Yamaha was clubbed in the back of the head by the substantial trophy and easily rolled up for a three-count as he hit the canvas.

It's always news when a champion defends against a former champion, but even more so when the champion was a student of the challenger. CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Brass Munkey hit the ring to defend against former two-time champion "Dangerous E" Corey Edsel, who surprisingly arrived to the ring with manager Brad "Fatback" Stutts. Returning to ringside for the first time in several months, Stutts delivered a heartfelt introduction for his man and then did the same for the champion. As the bell rang, Edsel went on the offensive, pounding away at the much smaller champion. Listening to the constant advice of his manager at ringside, Edsel followed the game-plan to keep the pace slow and to pound Munkey into the canvas. The champion continued to battle back, despite the collection of bruises and abrasions he was already starting to display, but the challenger seemed to always be one step ahead by returning the bout to the pace that Stutts demanded. Thinking it was ready to be over, Edsel ascended the ropes, diving to an empty canvas after the champion managed to escape the 400+ pounder's wrath, the challenger returned to the top turnbuckle to seal the deal. Brass Munkey, however, wasn't on board with that plan, climbed the ropes and onto the shoulders of Edsel. Flipping forward toward the canvas with the challenger in tow, the three-count was made and both men slumped to the canvas in exhaustion as the announcement of the winner was made.

After several minutes of trying to regain their composure and breath, Edsel approached the champion, forcing a howl from the suspicious fans. The trainer and the student then exchanged a handshake and congratulations, with "Dangerous E" even presenting him the title belt and a group hug including Stutts before leaving the ring area.

Fifteen men entered the ring for the Bunkhouse Stampede main event for a shot at the huge golden boot trophy and a check for $1,000. Before the bell even rang, a battle erupted between VIP Jesse Ortega and TV Champion Lee Valiant, resulting in both men being sent to the locker room by officials. Several minutes of brawling, battling and attacks from behind was interrupted by the introduction of a "late entry" into the Stampede, Roo-D Lewis. The "One Man Boy Band" hit the arena with microphone in hand and entertained the fans with his moves before finally entering the ring. All of the competitors had stopped fighting and watched as Lewis slid into the ring, attacking him in unison and tossing him to the floor into a crumpled heap. Fatback Enterprises' "Jersey" Nick Richards, Roy "Rage" Wilkins & the Chiva Kid were eliminated next before Chase Dakota, Cecil Scott & Matt Smith were sent packing. With weapons littering the entire ring and ringside area, big Arik Royale was tossed over the top ropes next by the tag champions, who were directing traffic in the ring and doubling up on the unlucky target in their sights. El Mercenario Canadianese #3 was tossed out next, followed by Marcellus King, leaving tag champions McAllister & Banks squaring off against former tag champions Tank Lawson & Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride. Already bloodied from his battle on the floor with Lawson, McBride watched as his championship partner was eliminated through a mask of his own blood.

The Boogie Woogie Man erupted into the attack mode, ducking a double-team attempt, hitting the ropes and then clubbing both of the champions with a flying double clothesline. Banks sailed over the top rope to the floor as McAllister was tied up in the ropes. McBride unloaded on "the Fury", sending him to the floor to win the golden boot and the cash prize.
