Riders In The Country

05.17.09
The largest and most vocal crowds to assemble for wrestling at Greensboro NC's Riders In The Country since 2001 assembled for Riders Championship Wrestling's HUSTLE ON TAP. RCW owner Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride started the show by introducing his fellow Rock 92 Bubbalympians and then calling up Chris, our friend formerly known as "Rock 92's Goat Boy". Presenting our friend who's about to move back to his home in Maryland the Golden Bunkhouse Stampede Trophy, the RCW owner left the ring as ring introductions began. The ever-popular Rising Generation League (of CWF Mid Atlantic fame) began the event with a three-way battle between current CWF RGL champ Chiva Kid, Arik Royale & "Jersey" Nick Richards. On the bell, a three-way brawl broke out with no one getting a moment to catch their breath. Power moves, wrestling holds, right hooks and headbutts peppered the opener with the masked Chiva Kid getting the duke.
Singles action was up next as TCW Carolinas Champion Sgt. Sniper defended his title against Ali Asaad in Title Can Change On DQ rules action. Sniper started strong, withstanding the initial attack of Asaad and taking his opponent to the canvas. Despite planning with his manager on the floor, Asaad couldn't get the upper hand in the match until he grabbed his manager's cane and clubbed Sniper across the back, tossed the cane to his opponent and fell on the ground writhing in pain as the referee's attention returned to the ring. The official called for the bell, awarding the bout to Asaad, along with the title as the fans roared their disapproval.
A special Battle Royal to determine a new Assistant Commissioner of RCW was up next, with eleven other candidates followed out "One Man Boy Band" Roo-D Lewis to the ring. Bodies collided and flew out of the ring in a rush, with the cowardly Riders Gigolo ducking out to the floor several times during the match. With only "Heart Throb" Alan Rage left thinking he's won, Gigolo slid back into the ring and blindsided him, knocking him out to the floor to win the Assistant Commissioner's position.
Ty Dillinger, Steve Greene & Jesse Ortega made their way to the ring, aggrivating the fans with their view of things before McBride and Riders' owner George Rider answered on behalf of the fans. Tag team action was up next with "Heart Throb" Alan Rage & Dream Warrior II facing the team of "Handsome" Mitch Connor & Alex Adonis in the squared circle. Impacts and collisions followed the bell, with the four veterans battling tooth and nail for an advantage. Adonis turned up the heat for his team, taking everything personal and clearing a path you could drive a truck through for his partner. Connor & Adonis walked away victorious by pinfall while their opponents limped away from the ring.
Fatback Enterprises' "Dangerous E" Corey Edsel & Donnie Dollar$ were out next for an attempt to get some satisfaction from the Syndicate's Michael McAllister in tag team action. McAllister arrived to the ring with four or five guys from the dressing room, claiming he'd "reformed his army" and was ready to fight. After a moment or two of indecision, the only "soldier" standing beside him in the end was Justin Feeche, who backs down from no one. The official called for the bell and business was underway. McAllister & Feeche kept up with the experienced Fatback team, with Feeche delivering punishment and McAllister wrestling smart during his times in the ring. The experience finally won out over the first-time team with Edsel & Dollar$ getting the pinfall win.
The highly-anticipated Title V. Title bout was up next with RCW Heavyweight Champion Marcellus "Mid Atlantic" King out to make war against CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Brass Munkey. It wasn't a wrestling match, it was a fight. The brutality level of the match was unequaled as the match spilled onto the hardwood dance floor at ringside and both men were slammed face-first into the wooden tables. As the official finally coaxed the battle back into the ring, King caught Munkey coming into the ring and planted him face-first to the canvas, rolling him over for the pinfall with his own shoulders down as well. The official called for the bell and ruled that the titles should actually switch, with Munkey becoming RCW champ and King becoming CWF champ. Owner McBride came to ringside once again and ordered the match be re-started with a clear winner. Eight seconds after re-starting the bout, Brass Munkey pinned King to win his RCW Heavyweight Title.
Ty Dillinger & "High Definition" Steve Greene were out next for tag team action against Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride and an unknown mystery partner. McBride came to the ring to choose his partner from the crowd as promised when Dillinger proclaims that he had changed the rules and "Infamous Icon" Joey Silvia would join his team and it would be a handicap beatdown. McBride then chose "Hustle King" KingFish as his partner, gave the referee the night off and introduced Lee Valiant as special guest referee and then dropped a real bomb on Dillinger by announcing that HE had another partner as well, Richie Steamboat. Riders exploded as the second-generation star entered the building and made his way to the ring to join Boogie & KingFish in the main event. Steamboat began for his team, tossing Greene into the ropes to tag in Silvia, who quickly found himself on his back in the ring. Valiant, who by rule was not allowed to touch any of Dillinger's team, called the match down the middle as expected.
Boogie made his way in and exploded a chest or two with open hand chops before "Hustle King" hit the ring with partner Steamboat on his heels. Steamboat then hoisted up the inrushing Silvia, open for a blistering chop delivered by Fish. Spreading the wealth around, Steamboat went back to the apron for a tag and returned to the action with a springboard dropkick to the mug of the "Infamous Icon" to begin the beginning of the end. As McBride's team celebrates their win, Ortega abandons the announcer's position and attacks Valiant in the ring. McBride cornered Dillinger as a masked man enters the ring and clubs him with a cane. Dropping to the canvas, McBride was laid out and left for dead as his wife, Persuasion rushed the ring as the masked individual revealed himself to be Martin McBride, Boogie Woogie Man Jr. Silvia & Dillinger intercepted the "Queen of Riders" and picked her up and slammed her to the canvas in front of her husband. McBride came back to life moments later and helped his team clear the ring as his wife was being attended to by officials.
